Production Grant Received for Free for All

We are very pleased to announce our latest funding partner, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation! Their kind and generous grant will allow us to complete principal production for Free for All: Inside the Public Library.

Since 2008, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has been running a Global Library Initiative that has been responsible for bringing desperately needed computer resources into public libraries and for making sure library patrons have access to the Internet.

Much like Andrew Carnegie's act of giving away his money in the early 20th Century to build public libraries all over our country, the BMGF has provided public libraries with the infrastructure and training necessary to survive and thrive in our technology driven 21st Century.

Thanks to Chris Jowaisas, Leah Johnson, and Deborah Jacobs at The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for their added support on this project! We'll keep you updated on all phases of the film, which includes additional fundraising for post-production and distribution of Free for All.
